CAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criterias for recruitment against various positions under the Central Administrative Tribunal is available below.

Registrar

  • Degree in Law.
  • Officers holding:
    • Analogous post in Central/State Government/High Court; OR
    • Grade Pay of Rs.7600/- with a minimum of 5 years’ service; OR
    • Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- with a minimum of 10 years’ service.
  • District Judge/Additional District Judge/Registrar/Additional Registrar of High Court on a regular basis.
  1. Joint Registrar
  • Degree in Law.
  • Officers holding:
    • Analogous post in Central/State Government/High Court; OR
    • Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- with at least 5 years’ service.
  • Judicial Officer with a minimum of 8 years’ regular service.
  1. Deputy Registrar (Protocol)
  • Officers from Central/State Government/High Courts:
    • Holding analogous post; OR
    • 5 years’ service in Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-; OR
    • 6 years’ service in Grade Pay of Rs.4800/-.
  • Degree in Law (relaxable in deserving cases).
  1. Principal Private Secretary
  • Officers holding analogous posts of Principal Private Secretary; OR
  • Private Secretary with 8 years of combined service in relevant pay bands.
  1. Deputy Controller of Accounts
  • Deputy Controller of Accounts from the Central Departmentalized Accounting Organisation with 2 years’ service; OR
  • Accounts Officer with 10 years’ service in relevant organizations.
  1. Section Officer/Court Officer
  • Holding analogous post; OR
  • 8 years’ service in posts of Assistant or equivalent.
  1. Private Secretary
  • Stenographers in Central/State Government/High Courts:
    • Holding analogous post; OR
    • 6 years’ service in the relevant pay scale.

  • Regular Accounts/Audit Officers from organized accounts departments.
  • Officers holding analogous post; OR
  • Junior Accounts Officer with 8 years of service.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or equivalent with 2 years’ professional experience.

  • Assistants with 5 years of service or UDCs with 10 years of service and training in Cash & Accounts.

  • Officers holding analogous posts; OR
  • 8 years’ service in relevant pay band.
  • Degree from a recognized university.
  1. Senior Accountant
  • Senior Accountant of Departmentalized Accounting Organisation/Auditor; OR
  • Junior Accountant with 5 years of experience; OR
  • Assistant with 3 months of Cash and Accounts training.

  • Junior Accountant experienced in departmentalized accounting; OR
  • UDCs/Senior Assistants with Cash and Accounts training.
  1. Dispatch Rider
  • Regular Group ‘C’ employees holding posts in Pay Band-1 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800/-.
  • Valid driving license and 2 years’ driving experience.
  • Pass in Matriculation or equivalent.
